About Us

The Wimauma Community Development Corporation (CDC) collaborates to create, fund, and implement community good projects that improve the lives of Wimauma residents and businesses around education, economic opportunities, and housing.

The Wimauma CDC facilitates the Wimauma Community Plan Advisory Committee (WCPAC) and advocates for local affordable housing and economic development projects.

We connect with businesses and residents and engage them around emerging needs and solutions through town halls and community meetings. We are a 501(c) (3) public/private partnership that champions meaningful change aligned with the needs of the Wimauma community.

Founded in 1967 as the Citizens Improvement League of Wimauma, our roots and relationships run deep throughout the community. Over the years, we have led numerous community initiatives that helped children get ready for school, fought gentrification, built neighborhood pride, prevented crime, and more.
